In this course learners will gain a clear, practical grounding in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and sustainability, learning what CSR means, how it evolved from philanthropy to formal frameworks, and how it differs from — and overlaps with — sustainability; you will study core principles such as the triple bottom line (people, planet, profit), global standards like the UN Sustainable Development Goals, and why businesses adopt CSR for reputation, risk management and long‑term value. You will develop ethical reasoning by analysing common dilemmas, drafting simple codes of conduct, and understanding corporate governance, transparency and ethical leadership; map and engage stakeholders, build employee and community programmes, and learn investor expectations (ESG). You will also explore business impacts on the environment, basic mitigation practices, regulatory compliance, human rights, diversity, labour standards and social impact measurement, gaining practical tools to design, evaluate and communicate responsible business initiatives.
